Breakdancing (breaking) is the art of dancing to hip-hop with power moves, freezes, footwork, and top rock. It's now an Olympic sport, but you can start in your living room. Each session is a creative puzzle: string moves together into your own unique style. The floor is your canvas.
Jak zacząć
- 1Clear a space on a smooth floor or lay down a piece of cardboard or a yoga mat
- 2Learn basic top rock — the standing dance you do before hitting the ground
- 3Practice the 6-step, the foundational footwork pattern all breaking builds from
- 4Work on your baby freeze — your first power pose on the ground
- 5Film yourself to track progress and spot areas for improvement

Gdzie się uczyć
Plot twisty
Sposoby na urozmaicenie, gdy podstawy się znudzą.
- Battle a friend in a friendly cypher
- Create a signature freeze and challenge others to copy it
- Combine breaking with another dance style for a unique fusion
- Practice power moves on grass first for softer landings
- Enter a local breaking jam — most welcome all levels
Notatki ADHD
Short burst practice works perfectly — drill one move for 10 minutes. The creative freedom means there's no 'wrong' way to do it, and progress is visually obvious.
Ciekawostka
Breaking debuted as an Olympic sport at the 2024 Paris Games. B-girl Ami from Japan was one of the favorites — she started breaking at age 11.
